Was That An Earthquake?
Yesterday we had to practice having an earthquake. Miss Tait kept repeating “This is an Earthquake,” so we got under our table as fast as we could. Miss Smee timed us. Next time I think we will be faster than the whole school.
Yesterday we had to practice having an earthquake. Ms Tait kept repeating “This is an earthquake, this is an earthquake.” Room 16 all had to go under the table and hold on to the leg of the table until we could come out again. When we all came out some people bumped their heads.

Yesterday we had an earthquake drill but it was just practice. Some people didn’t hear it in their classrooms. I think our classroom was the quickest. Ms Tait had to repeat it hundreds of times. I have never ever got to hear the earthquake drill.

Yesterday there was an earthquake drill we ran under the table as fast as we could go! We got told it was an earthquake by Ms Tait because she called out loud and clear, “earthquake drill, earthquake drill,” to warn us to get under the table quick as a rocket!

Yesterday the earthquake drill rang and we all went under our writing tables. I was on table 4 with Phoebe D, Megan, Saskia, Ellie and Liam. It was fun. I held the poles.

Yesterday there was an earthquake drill. Ms Tait kept repeating on the speaker. Our class got under the table in 16 seconds. Levi had to get under the computer.

We'll have to find a better place for Levi. There are too many cords under the computer so it is not safe. Well done everyone for being so quick!
